She's still____love with you." "But I'm not in love with her. She can love me all she wants, but I'm not in love with her. I never was!" "Well, you say that. Maybe it's true. Maybe i...

Insanity 發瘋

Human beings are very interesting creatures because their behaviors could be rather controversial. They want to change but they never do anything to make a difference. They want to have a different life but they never do things to get a new life.  I think it is because they are insane to some extent bu the funny part is they are not aware of their insanity. If you look at the quote from Einstein, you will understand why.  Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.  Albert Einstein (1879 -1955)  發瘋的意思就是一直重複做著同樣的事情卻期望有不同的結果。

How to talk to people at the party

Hi all, A lot of you came to Angela's Summer Party 2011. I am sure you all had a great time there at the party. Please read the following transcript and then watch the video. You might learn something useful when you talk to people at the party.   http://www.ehow.com/video_4755929_talk-people-party.html Video Transcript ( 影片內容文字 ) Hi, my name is Reka Morvay. I'm a psychologist , and I'm going to talk to you about how to talk to people at a party. How to talk to people at a party really depends on what kind of party it is because if it's just a party where there are five people discussing, you know, Eastern philosophy , then the best way to talk to these people is to join in that conversation. Now, if you're at a party that's a rave party and the music's too loud to really even be able to hear what anybody else is saying, then talking will probably not be of vital importance and will usually be just very short sentences that you scream in t...

A funny joke - the rude parrot!

Hi all, I always like jokes.  TodayI was browsing Jokes Warehouse (http://www.jokeswarehouse.com) and would like to share this funny joke with you. -----The Rude Parrot----- David received a parrot for his birthday. The parrot was fully grown with a bad attitude and worse vocabulary. Every other word was an obscenity . Those that weren't expletives , were to say the least, rude. David tried hard to change the bird's attitude and was constantly saying polite words, playing soft music, anything he could think of. Nothing worked. He yelled at the bird and the bird yelled back . He shocked the bird and the bird just got more angry and more rude. Finally, in a moment of desperation , David put the bird in the freezer , just for a few moments. He heard the bird squawk and kick and scream-then suddenly, there was quiet. David was frightened that he might have hurt the bird and quickly opened the freezer door. The parrot calmly stepped out and said "I believe I may have...

about face

Dear Defense Language Institute students, Thank you for asking me the question.  I think I've learned something new as well. In the military, "about face" is an order to make a sharp, sudden 180-degree turn when standing in line. So "to do a complete about face" means to change to the exact opposite as you were--in physical stance, opinion, health, whatever--very quickly and suddenly.  ( http://forum.wordreference.com/showthread.php?t=945 ) *about face: 立場或是觀點突然改變(180度大轉變),或是轉變回原來的觀點。 He did a complete about face. 他完全的改變。
